Calling on Community

March 11, 2018 (edited by Shawn Postma)

Every so often you get a chance to meet someone unlike any other; someone who manages to touch your life in ways that you will never forget. This person is Cedar Branches.

So who is this rare gem named after a tree? And why should you care?

About seven years ago, Cedar made a commitment that forever changed his life and those around him. He gave up traditional American life -- the nice house, fancy car, esteemed Microsoft position, and his old name, Robert Lind -- partly by choice, but largely because his depression, failing health, and a general dissatisfaction with life had led him into hopelessness. To survive he would create a new life unplugged from mainstream society.

Now from the trenches of homelessness, Cedar returns to tell his powerful story and share a message that our future depends on. By creating his musical “Shadows Illuminated, the Live Performance” he demolishes the boundaries of what is considered possible for a man in his circumstances.

His masterfully interwoven story is a potent musical unlike any other, revealing humanity, hope and beauty found in unexpected places. Cedar’s rhythmic and authentic vocal performance supported by the mystical voice of Ines Maricle results in a deeply hypnotic and moving journey. Truly this show is a once-in-a-lifetime, must feel musical experience.

It is with no surprise that the show’s success requires the support of community. This is a rare opportunity to make a true difference in a man's life that is doing everything he possibly can to help bring deeper meaning and fulfillment to others. Will you be a force for bringing Cedar’s much-needed message to the world? Are you ready to befriend your own shadows?

You are cordially invited to attend a special VIP sneak-preview event of Shadows Illuminated, the Live Performance. Come see what gifts will be illuminated for you!
